How often should I send a mobile message?
Depends on the vertical, and aggressiveness of the offer. Most business will not need to send more than 3 or 4 messages per month.
Can people forward messages on to their friends?
SMS – Yes
WAP – Yes
MMS – Yes
APP – Yes and No
How do I keep someone from reusing a coupon?
- The message will be from the short code 67463 and nothing else.
- Put an expiration date on every coupon you do not want to be reused.
If I have already attained someone’s cell phone number through a registration card, how do I put them into the program?
The only way to put someone into the program is through texting the short code or using one of our PDA devices.
If the business already has cell phone numbers previously collected, they CANNOT use them.
All mobile programs must start from the ground up… (CAN – SPAM Act)
What is a good opt-out percent?
10% is a good number. If it is any more, then you need to be more aggressive in your offers, change the number of messages sent each month, or target your customers differently.
