Multi-Location and Franchise SEO
A business with one office competes in one set of local results. A business with ten or fifty locations competes in ten or fifty of them at once, and each location needs to be found by the people near it. Multi-location SEO is the work of making every location visible in its own market while the brand stays consistent across all of them. At OnlyaClick it is part of our SEO services.
You get one system for every location: profiles, location pages, listings and reporting, managed together instead of one at a time.

What Multi-Location SEO Is
It is local SEO repeated across many markets, plus the problems that only appear at scale. A wrong phone number on one profile is a small fix. The same mistake built into a spreadsheet that feeds forty profiles is forty lost calls. Location pages copied from one template with the city name swapped in give searchers and search engines little reason to choose any of them.
Google’s own rules shape the work. Its guidelines for Business Profiles allow one profile per location, and ask that all locations of a business in the same country use the same name. So the goal is a consistent brand with genuinely local detail underneath it.
Who It Is For
Franchise brands and their franchisees, regional chains, healthcare and dental groups, law firms with several offices, and home service companies running crews out of more than one branch. It also fits a growing business about to open its second or third location, because setting the structure up correctly from the start is far easier than untangling it later.
For franchises we work with whoever owns the decisions. That may be the brand team, a single franchisee, or both, with clear rules about who controls the website, the profiles and the reviews.
What the Engagement Includes
Location inventory and profile cleanup
One master list of every location with its name, address, phone, hours and categories. We find duplicate, unclaimed, closed and mislabeled profiles and bring them under one organized account, with store codes kept out of business names as Google requires.
Bulk management and verification
Google offers bulk verification to businesses with 10 or more locations of the same brand. Where you qualify, we prepare the bulk upload and the request. Where you do not, we verify each location individually.
Location pages that say something
One page per real location, with its own address, hours, staff, services offered there, parking or access notes, and LocalBusiness structured data. A store locator that search engines can crawl, and internal links that connect each location to the services it offers.
Citations at scale
Consistent listings on the directories and data sources search engines draw from, and a process for updating every one of them when a location moves, closes or changes its hours.
Reviews by location
A routine each location can follow to ask real customers for reviews and to answer them, with a shared standard for replies. We never write, buy or incentivize reviews.
How It Works, Step by Step
1. Consultation. We learn how many locations you have, which ones matter most, who owns each profile and page today, and what has been tried before.
2. Audit and baseline. Every profile, listing and location page is checked and recorded, so each location has its own starting point.
3. Structure first. Account access, the master location list, naming rules and the website’s location page template are fixed before any content is written.
4. Location by location. We work through the locations in priority order: profile, page, listings, then reviews.
5. Report and adjust. A monthly report that compares locations side by side, so weak markets stand out and get attention first.
How to Measure the Results
Profile actions per location: calls, direction requests and website clicks from each Google Business Profile.
Local visibility per market: map and organic positions for your main searches, checked from several points around each location.
Location page performance: organic visits and conversions to each location page.
Data accuracy: the share of locations whose name, address, phone and hours match everywhere they are listed.
Results will differ by market, because competition differs by market. We do not promise rankings for any location, and we report the weak ones as plainly as the strong ones.
How It Connects to Our Other Services
Multi-location SEO sits inside our SEO services and builds on the same methods as single-location local SEO. Sites with many location pages often start with a technical SEO audit, because one template problem repeats on every page. Week to week profile care for each location is what Google Business Profile management covers, and brands that need review monitoring across many locations add reputation management.
Multi-Location SEO Questions
Does each location need its own Google Business Profile?
Each real location that serves customers can have one profile, and Google’s guidelines say not to create more than one for the same location. A service business that travels to customers from one office normally has one profile for that office with a service area, not a profile for every town it covers.
Can we add the city name to each location’s business name?
Generally no. Google asks that all locations in the same country use the same business name and does not allow extra information such as store codes in the name. The exception is a location that consistently uses a different name on its own storefront. The local detail belongs in the address, the location page and the profile itself.
Should a franchisee have its own website or a page on the brand site?
It depends on the franchise agreement, so we start by reading what it allows. A location page on the brand site keeps the brand’s authority in one place and is simpler to maintain. A separate franchisee site can work when the agreement permits it and the franchisee will keep it current. Either way, the profile should link to the page for that specific location.
