Our Corpus Christi Work: COTTS LAW
The starting point: Daniel Cotts is a tax attorney who moved his practice to Corpus Christi in 2019. His work covers taxation, IRS dispute representation and resolution, estate planning, accounting, and business and contract law. The firm came to OnlyaClick to build its brand: it needed a logo for its updated name, a website that matched the quality of the practice, and a search campaign to raise its visibility.
What we did: We designed a logo that reflects the firm’s history while looking modern. We built a website that explains its services and background and asks visitors to request a consultation. Then we added content pages for individual services so the firm could reach people searching for a specific tax problem, not just for “lawyer.”
What changed: The firm moved from an older site to a new brand and a site built around the problems its clients bring. Today cottslaw.com (accessed October 2, 2026) describes a focus on “Tax Resolution for Debts over $100,000,” offers a Spanish-language help page, and says that while Daniel lives in South Texas he handles cases for clients throughout the United States. The before and after screens are in the COTTS LAW case study.

How We Market Corpus Christi Businesses
These are the services we used for COTTS LAW, and the others we offer Corpus Christi clients:

Website Design and Branding
Someone with an IRS notice on the kitchen table wants to know three things: can this firm handle my problem, who will I talk to, and how do I reach them. For COTTS LAW the work began with the brand, a new logo for an updated name, and then a site that puts the attorney, the services and the consultation request in plain view.
Organic SEO
People in trouble with a tax bill rarely search for “attorney” alone. They search for the problem: back taxes, a levy, an audit, a payment plan. We build a page for each service a firm actually offers, which is how the COTTS LAW site was widened beyond a single home page.

Local SEO and Google Business Profile
A Corpus Christi office still competes in map results with firms across Nueces and San Patricio counties. We keep your business name, address, phone and hours identical on your website and your Google Business Profile, and we choose categories that describe what you really do, not everything you could do.
Social Media
For a professional practice, social posts work best as plain explanations: what a notice means, what a deadline is, when to call. We plan posts in English and Spanish when your clients use both, and send readers back to the matching service page.

Pay-Per-Click Advertising
Search marketing was part of the COTTS LAW plan from the start. A firm that serves clients outside its home city can choose where its ads run: around Corpus Christi, across Texas or nationwide. We set the geography and budget with you, and track which searches turn into calls and consultation requests.
Reputation Management
We help you ask real clients for reviews and reply to each one without revealing anything confidential. We never write, buy or invent reviews.

A Port City With Business Buyers
The Port of Corpus Christi reported on January 27, 2026 that its customers moved 203.4 million tons through the Corpus Christi Ship Channel in 2025, 127.4 million tons of it crude oil, and it describes itself as the third largest port in the United States in total waterborne tonnage. Much of the city’s commerce is one business selling to another: contractors, suppliers, accountants and lawyers. Those buyers search by specialty and compare firms carefully, so we write service pages that state exactly what you do and who you do it for.
Texas Has Its Own Rules for Lawyer Marketing
Because our Corpus Christi client is a law firm, every page we wrote for it had to follow Part VII of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. The State Bar of Texas publishes the text of Rules 7.01 to 7.06 (accessed October 2, 2026). Three parts shape how we build a Texas law firm website:
Name and location: Rule 7.02(a) says an advertisement must publish the name of a lawyer responsible for its content and identify the lawyer’s primary practice location. For a firm that serves clients nationwide, that means the Corpus Christi office stays visible even on pages aimed at clients in other states.
Filing: Rule 7.04 requires a lawyer to file most advertisements with the bar’s Advertising Review Committee within ten days of dissemination. Rule 7.05(b) exempts information and links on a law firm website except the contents of the homepage. So a new homepage may need to be filed, while a new service page usually does not.
Specialization and language: Rule 7.02(b) lets a lawyer say “Board Certified” only for a certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization or an organization it accredits, so we never write “specialist” unless that is true. Rule 7.01(d) requires any required disclaimer to appear in each language the communication uses, which matters for a bilingual site. The decisions about filing and wording belong to the lawyer; we build the pages to make those decisions easy.
Corpus Christi Marketing Questions
Has OnlyaClick worked with a business in Corpus Christi?
Yes. COTTS LAW, the Corpus Christi tax law practice of attorney Daniel Cotts, is in our portfolio. We designed its logo and website, added service pages and ran a search marketing campaign.
Does a Texas law firm have to file its website with the State Bar?
Under Rule 7.05(b) of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, information and links on a law firm website are exempt from filing except the contents of the homepage, and even the homepage is exempt if its contents are otherwise exempt. The whole site must still be truthful and not misleading. The lawyer makes the filing decision.
Can a Corpus Christi business rank for clients outside the city?
Yes, if what you sell is not tied to a location. Map results favor businesses near the searcher, but service pages and paid search can reach clients across Texas or the country, as long as your pages describe the work clearly and your contact details stay consistent.
Do you only market law firms in Corpus Christi?
No. Our Corpus Christi case study is a law firm, and we also market medical practices, home services, restaurants, retailers and other local businesses.
